LaBerge Book on Lucid Dreaming
February 17, 2005 on 10:41 am | In Lucid Dreaming | No CommentsSo yesterday I started to re-read the Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming book again. I’m reading it again for some reasons:
- the book is really amazing
- I think it’s a very good mental trick to help me induce more lucid dreams
- I can underline important sentences and paragraphs to review latter
- In the second read I get many things that I missed in the first one.
Life on Mars?
February 17, 2005 on 10:34 am | In Astronomia | No CommentsSpace.com: WASHINGTON — A pair of NASA scientists told a group of space officials at a private meeting here Sunday that they have found strong evidence that life may exist today on Mars, hidden away in caves and sustained by pockets of water.
Lucid Dream Auto-suggestion Technic
February 17, 2005 on 9:04 am | In Lucid Dreaming | No CommentsLucid Blogger: I had fallen asleep thinking how all my dreams are important and I want to remember them all. I was imagining what it would feel like to be an expert lucid dreamer.
Death Day
February 16, 2005 on 8:30 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsWhat if there was a Death Day instead of the normal death-whenever-god-wants? What will happens to a society that face and live with the Death Day? Could it be a natural process or it was a technological demand? What people could feel? How could it be different from the natural process that we have today?
And if is a Death Day, maybe could be Birth Day; it’s pure logic.
I think this idea could be a very good short history.
Just a though that I had today in the way to the work.
Lucid Update
February 16, 2005 on 8:08 am | In Lucid Dreaming | No CommentsFive days with no Lucid Dreaming. Probably I was influenced by two (1, 2) bloggers that I read that had mental lucid block. But I’m tough! I’m not going to let this thing continue. I’m overcoming this mental trick and right now I have a really good felling and mental focus in having a lucid in a day or two. I also want to beat the number of lucid dreams that I had last month. Right now I’m in lucid number 3. Just 3 to go. As today is the 16th, I’m a little behind the schedule, but as I’m in the beginning of the lucid dream study, I have plenty of opportunity to grow.
Happy Nice Lucid Dreams!

Speedboarding Crash
February 15, 2005 on 8:24 pm | In Esportes | No CommentsI only knew it yesterday…
Saturday night three friends from my speedboarding community planned to do a session in the Candido Hartmann street that is near my house. The guys were Pedro, Alysson and Davi. Well, to make a long story short this is what happenned. A friend of Alysson was supposed to stay in the botton of the slope and take care of the security. He did not know how to do it; it was his first time doing that.
He tried to stop a motorcycle and the pilot stoped right in the lane that the guys were droping the street. The Hartmann street allows speeds from 60 to 90km/h and the worst happenned. The guys were at very high speed when the motorcycle stoped in their lane. Davi could make a move and almost crash in the motorcycle. Pedro drift from the bike but crashed in the street, hiting hard his elbow. Alysson did a big slide but crashed right in the bike. He broke a finger and hit hard his chest.
Pedro went to the hospital and had to make a cirurgy. The put wires in his elbow.
I’m starting to think if this sports worth the risks involved. Sad, very sad…
Cheek in the Basketball
February 15, 2005 on 5:18 pm | In Astronomia | No CommentsJames Cameron in Wired: We’ve been only to low Earth orbit since 1972, and from that altitude of 220 miles, looking at the 7,900-mile-diameter Earth is like peering at a basketball with your cheek pressed against it. Yes, you’ll see curvature, but you’re not seeing the whole thing.
New Surfboard
February 14, 2005 on 12:00 pm | In Esportes | No CommentsThis weekend I went again to the beach in the lovely town of Guaratuba. Last week, in the carnival holidays I was there and had to go fix a fin of my funboard 7.2″. Well, in the office I saw a beautiful 6.4″ evolution surfboard that I falled in love. I like my funboard but as I’m using it for one year I started to want a short surfboard that could make me surf better.
Well, time has come and I finally bought the surboard this weekend. It’s a beatiful white and very light board. I already gave her a name: Snow White.
The only problem was that I could not really test it, because the waves were very short. I paddle a lot and got just little waves. Maybe in 2 weeks when I come back to the beach…
Lucid Dream Update
February 10, 2005 on 6:10 pm | In Lucid Dreaming | No CommentsSo I’m studying Lucid Dream for a month and the experience is really amazing. It’s virtual reality on steroids! Well, it’s a way lot better the virtual reality. The computers are not well developed enough to reach the level of reality that Lucid Dream is capable of. It’s as real as reality can be.
Till now I recorded 87 dreams and 7 were lucids. I think it’s a good number for only a month of study. I’d like to receive reports from other lucid dreamers to compare percentiles and see if I’m the right way.
Happy nice Lucid Dreams!
