Sony DSC-P72 Broked LCD Help Needed

Snif snif. My digital still camera (Sony P-72) had the LCD broke down. Everything is working but the LCD is broke. I send it to a repair store but the guys asked for R$450 (US$125) to fix it. The guy said that this price is due to the costs of the LCD, not the man-power. Please, if someone in the blogsphere (preference to Brazil) has a broken sony camera with the LCD intact, I’d like to talk to you.

Earplugs and Asimov

Yesterday I bought a pair of earplugs. I already have one but it’s the type that have a cord and you put it in the ear channel. It’s great for a all purpose silent-stuff but it’s not good to sleep because of the cord and the size/design. It press the ear/channel when you put our head in the pillow.

So I made a couple of phone calls and went to downtown in the lunch time and bought a pair of silicon earplugs. You put it in the ear, molding it to interrupt the sounds/water to come inside the ear. It works just like the big old headphones. The silicon is very soft and I think it can wears out very quickly with dirt.

Right in front of the store that I bought the earplugs there’s a used bookstore (Fígaro). I’ve never been there and it’s really a cool one. It has products that range from binoculars, old (very, very old) books, used LPs, ball point pens, and of course regular used book ones. I went to the Scince Fiction department (just 20 or 30 titles) and found a Isaac Asimov Book that I saw a couple of years ago in United States: The Timeline of Discovery and Invention. It is in portuguese and basically is a timeline from 4 million years in the past until 1990 (I guess), telling the discoveries and evolution of the human being. 1,000 pages for R$25 (+-US$12). Really a bargain!

Lucid Dream

Well, I have been studying Lucid Dream for 20 days. I’ve read the LaBerge book (Exploring the Worlds of Lucid Dreaming) and a couple of websites. From there untill know I had 3 Lucid Dreams. Two of then were really, really Lucid Ones, very bright, very vivid; the other one I woke up right after becoming lucid.

There’s one week that I do not have Lucid Dreams and hope the next one comes really soon.

Bocaiuva e Galera de SP

Neste fim de semana a galera que anda de speed em S�o Paulo veio para Curitiba visitar nossas ladeiras. Eles vieram depois que o Ot�vio falou muito bem dos drops em Boca�va e da� resolveram comprovar. Nesta trip vieram T2, Xaveco, Caco e Ot�vio.

No s�bado nos enrolamos um pouco e s� sa�mos de Curitiba por volta das 12:00h. V�rios drops legais nas grandes ladeiras de Bocai�va. Desta vez marquei os tamanhos de cada ladeira e a quantidade de curvas. Segue abaixo as ladeiras, de Bocai�va para frente:

No domingo voltamos mais cedo para Boca�uva, por volta das 10:00h. Este � um bom hor�rio para ir porque chegamos perto das 11:00h e o movimento � bem pequeno porque a maioria do pessoal est� come�ando a almo�ar. Conhecemos o drop da Curva do Barro, com 4km e uma curva em “U” que joga para fora e que acaba no drop do Tigre, uma ladeira de 1,5km e 4 curvas, mas que tem duas descidas animais que embalam mesmo.

Finalizamos os drops, voltando para o Primeiro Drop, na frente da casa de madeira azul. Fizemos uns bons pegas por l� e da� j� est�vamos quebrados de tanto descer as mega ladeiras de Bocai�va.

Fica aqui a sugest�o para arranjarmos uns nomes decentes para as ladeiras, porque os que coloquei a� em cima s�o muito ruins. Olhem os exemplos de drops em outros lugares: Funil, Cascud�o, P� no Ch�o, Vertville, e por a� em diante. Vamos l� galera, botem esta cuca para funcionar e sugiram os nomes dos drops.

Dreamachine

Estou construindo uma Dreamachine. Depois que comecei a estudar os sonhos l�cidos n�o resisti em montar uma logo ap�s ver a hist�ria em um blog.

Agora quero ver como vou colocar a l�mpada na geringon�a. Pelo menos achei uma utilidade para um dos aparelhos de som que tenho l� em casa. Falando nisso gostaria de saber se tem algum aparelho mais simples que gire um prato a 78 ou 45 RPM. Da� eu poderia colocar a minha Dreamachine na sala, at� como objeto de decora��o. Colocar ela em cima de um pickup velho n�o vai fazer muito sucesso e a Bel n�o vai deixar de jeito nenhum

Velhos Amigos

O legal � que contei a ele sobre alguns projetos que tenho na �rea de esportes e ind�stria e ele tem uma oportunidade que se combin�ssemos n�o iria casar t�o bem. Vamos ver como a coisa anda…

Guaratuba no fds

Fui para guaratuba neste fds. Estava legal. Ficar longe da família é ruim. A Bel e o Natan estão super bem e se divertindo.

Já consegui surfar novamente! Meu pé está melhorando a cada dia que passa. Estou andando sem mancar e hoje coloquei tênis; a primeira vez desde o dia 25 de dezembro!
